Straight Design in a freelance consultancy where a simple, direct approach shapes the creative direction in the visual solutions created for you.
Straight Design is the brainchild of Andrew Bass, Jr. Always a creative thinker as a child, he just seemed to know that he’d grow up to be a storyteller. Andrew followed his creative instincts to graduate from Pratt Institute with a BFA in Communications Design. He’s worked for companies like Essence, Black Enterprise, McGraw-Hill, CMP Media and Nielsen.
During the day he works for RIMS, the risk management society as their Art & Production manager of their member publication, Risk Management, and after hours runs Straight Design, his freelance consultancy. Specialities of the studios include visual identity, editorial and book design, marketing communications, digital design and art direction.
Past clientele have included Jill Scott's Blues Babe Foundation, Screen Consultants, B.V., Urban League Long Island and Philadelphia and the Incorporated Village of Hempstead.
